Anyone know of any Black Friday, online or in-store, HD 6950 or HD 6970 deals this coming Friday or Cyber Monday?
I'm looking to XFire my Unlocked / OC'd Sapphire 6950 2GB.
If you could post it here, I'm sure it would help other [H] readers and myself.
Thank you.
Hmmmm . . . good question. MAYBE / HOPEFULLY / I WISH I bumped it while cleaning the inside.
What switch was it suppose to be again on? 1 or 2?
No way the latest drive can change it right since its a BIOS setting?
Has anyone ever experienced this?
I successfully locked my Sapphire HD 6950 to 1536 Shaders a few months ago when I built my computer.
Today, I just checked it with a new version of GPU-Z 5.5 and it's showing 1408 Shaders.
The overlcock is holding at 880 / 1375 but the shaders changed...
When it is OC'd at 860/1345 and I have the fan settings at Auto where Temp = Fan % Speed, it idles at 48C-50C. My only problem with it is that at this point I hear the GPU Fan over my case fan as compared to idling at 25%-35%, I can't even hear it at all.
I've seen similarly setup cards that...
First of all, I wouldn't have asked if I knew their RMA Policy would I?
Second, if you actually read my post instead of trolling, it has a non-oc'd SS of the GPU-Z that is still running pretty hot. AFAIK Bios mod with unlock shaders isn't suppose to significantly increase temps by itself...
One, an ASUS H233H @ 1920 x 1080.
At Auto (with the temp matching Fan %) it idles at 50C.
When the fan gets passed 35% to 40% it's a tad loud but below it I can't even hear it.
Bad for the GPU to idle at these temps?
Should I RMA this?
Stock speeds @ about 25% fan.
OC'd to 860/1345 Auto Fan.
It has an Unlock Shader Bios.
Does overclocking it past Overdrive settings and unlocking shaders void warrany?
It's a Sapphire.
If I do RMA it, does Sapphire do a cross shipping?
What's the best course of...
No problem.
I'm guessing I can just switch the display manually whenever I'm using either displays.
If I want to use both, I can just set the setting to 720p so both displays can display it.
I will just have to change it to 1080p manually whenever I need to use just the bigger 65"...
What advantages does this setup actually offer over the HDMI -> Split route?
What about Display Port -> HDMI dongle? Will that work too?
Does Display Port have Audio? I'm not familiar with it.
Explain what Clone mode is please.
Thank you.
I'm planning to taking an amplified HDMI Splitter and splitting the HDMI out signal from my computer to my HDTVs.
One is a Samsung 42" 720p and the other one is a Mitsubishi 65" 1080p.
Will this work setup work?
Will the signal still display through my LCD monitor as normal?
I'm...
This.
Bad luck you got a bad card. RMA and move on.
Stop being spoiled and stop complaining like it's the end of the world just because you had 1 bad card and bash a whole brand name.
When you get your new card, use a modded 6950 Bios (Unlock Only) and just overclock it.
Not...
Are you running at stock voltages and temps (idle/max)? GPU and Ram clocks?
I'm not sure what the max frequency of my GPU and Ram is yet. I need to play with it by increasing them one at a time. Just like Lord_Exodia suggested.
I just have to figure out how to unlock the voltage controls...
