Eyefinity dual monitors and DVI splitter

I have a 7850, and only the top dvi port is dual link. You *could* buy an active displayport to dvi adapter though (last time I checked they were expensive).

    390X coming soon few weeks

I wouldn't say that. In general, graphics cards have had longer lifespans because of the fact that a lot of games are limited to the performance of their respective consoles. Hence why NVIDIA has been trying to branch out into mobile chipsets/SOC's.

GTA 5 is a disaster on the 7970/280X

Ah, I was wondering why I saw that.....I thought it was a crossfire bug (I have two crossfired 7950's).

    HDD prices rising

True that they have only a few locations. Then again, I've never been to a Fry's, nor are there any near me.... My microcenter in NoVA is OOS of the spinpoint F4, Barracuda 7200.11, and Hitachi 1.5 tb drives. Honestly, the price hike made me make a decision to upgrade to a better drive...

    HDD prices rising

Not bad...but I think the Hitachi 2 tb 7200 rpm 64 mbs of cache for $120 was a better deal :D. Makes my old Segate 1.5 TB (the "freezer") look archaic :D.

Corsair Giveaway - Force Series™ GT 180GB Solid-State Hard Drive

Honestly, with hard drive prices rising exponentially, SSD's are becoming cheaper than traditional hard drives. My old core 2 quad would benefit substantially from a SSD (as well as future builds).

    HDD prices rising

At the microcenter I was at, they seemed to still be decently stocked. They just had the limit of only any two hard drives per order/day, and the limit of only one type/model each (per person).

    HDD prices rising

There must be some serious price gouging going on. Microcenter is now selling a Hitachi 2 tb hard drive (tomorrow...) for $209.99 (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0356678). I got the drive this evening for $119.99. That is a one day increase of $90 . On...

This is making me consider swinging around to microcenter to grab a drive to replace my temperamental segate 7200.11 1.5 tb drive......

Talk me out of upgrading my i5-750 to a 2500k

Honestly, if I was going to upgrade, I was going to stick with the 5850. I had no issues with maxing out (excluding crazy ammounts of AA), for nearly all of today's games...

Talk me out of upgrading my i5-750 to a 2500k

Pretty much what I was thinking.....I'm still able to run 90% of games at max settings (with a AMD 5850) on a 22" 1080P screen.
