One thing about the curve on the Dell, often I am using the screen for several hours then I stand up, look back at the monitor and I am amazed at the curve. It's so immersive and engrossing that you don't notice it when sitting in front but when you see from standing above standing up, it's...
Christ I am so fed up of monitor problems. What can we do about the buzzing noise? Seems to be coming from behind the dell logo and also seems to be worse on white screens. This is really starting to annoy me now, have spent the last couple of years returning monitors. I have had this one for...
Had mine for a couple of weeks now. Had returned the 2715 and the asus pq279, both were not good enough (dead pixels and backlight bleeding) but this one seemed ok. It has quite beautiful colours and image quality but in the top corners, both left and right, there is glow and it's quite bad...
Just got mine, this is replacing a dell2407. It is very nice and I have been to hell and back with monitors in the last couple of years and ended up sending all back. This one is a keeper though.
I was a bit disappointed to see the box had revision A01 (August 2015) on it, I expected A02 or...
No solution at the moment, I am still waiting for the refund for the asus, but I am leaning towards getting 2x2715h. Will definitely ask for latest revision (A03 I think) if I do that. You had two bad cables, this is the common cause, hopefully they sorted it out. I think the lottery is less...
Thanks for updating there Object!
I must admit it is a very nice screen and I have no doubt nearly all the issues are caused by the crappy minidp cable they supply with, which is very shocking on Dell's behalf.
As to what happened to me, I was so annoyed I sent it back and just cancelled...
New video of one in action:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmnxLL-0jfY
and from that youtube vid, this thread (starting and linked to page 211), several people have received their 279s, some mixed reactions...
Ordered, paid 713 euros (excl vat). Will let you all know how it is. Not expecting it for a while although the site says available this week. Says my order is for November but I ordered a whole new rig.
I have been waiting a long time for this. If it's not up to standards, I will return it and buy a dell, been using one for several years here and recently bought the dell u2715 but it had issues so I sent it back. 2 working U2715 or a dell3415 are options. I have been obsessing over an ips with...
Come on now, seems nobody remembers the 80s and onwards? Samsung has always been a budget label. They have some higher range products that do a job but they are still not all that. Plus look at their top range of phones, very plastic and lower range terrible. I bought my second Samsung TV this...
Thanks, this is a very interesting reply to read. Unfortunately I was unable to keep the cable, the company I bought it from insisted I sent all back as it was in the box originally.
I should have the replacement in the next few days, I will let you know. If I do have the same symptoms I will...
It does show up. It's weird because I can get the dp to work after all. I was getting a blue screen with a moveable cursor and then I realised this was one of two screens (in my previous setup I was using two screens). So I made one screen the default and DP worked!
So it works seemingly...
