I moved from a CRT to an Eizo FS2331 a while ago. It has zero input lag and adequate blacks. Backlight bleed is negligible. I just played Alan Wake and it looked great. The biggest problem with this monitor is ghosting. It's not noticeable always, but with some color transitions it's just awful...

They measured input lag to 18 ms on average, so that's pretty low. This monitor seems so interesting, that now I'm also seriously thinking of buying one to replace my good old CRT.
I wonder why manufacturers always choose to use inferior panels in monitors. There are some LCD-TVs with great picture quality and good black levels, whereas 99 % of monitors have crappy IPS or TN panels with awful black levels/contrast.
Are there any VA monitors to be released this year? I'm thinking of buying one, but I'm wondering if I should wait or settle for Eizo FS-2331. TN and IPS are out of the question for me.

Input lag seems to be 15 ms.
FlatpanelsHD about response time:
Im not saying that OLED is perfect in terms of response time but...
I have had two TNs, and they indeed were unusable because the vertical color shift was intolerable. The upper part of the screen always looks too dark, whereas the lower part has washed-out colors.
So, no TNs for me ever again. I would gladly pay twice the price for better colors and viewing...

A U2311H has better black levels and better contrast, but it has a bit more input lag.
