Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've had this card for a little over two years now, and it's worked great. But about the time Skyrim came out, I started getting crashes. After just a couple of minutes of play, my screen would get "garbled" and my computer would become unresponsive, forcing me to do a hard reset. I assume this...
I've got two sets of chips, one from G-Skill with 8-8-8-21 timings and the other a genero brand running at 9-9-9-24. If I can manage to get them to play nice with each other, is it better to have the 8GB running at 9-9-9-24 or 4GB at 8-8-8-21?
Hi, I'm Codester, and I'm a [H]ardoholic.
I'm addicted to [H]ard|OCP because...
1. Brutally honest reviews.
2. Up-to-date news.
3. You smash rediculously inferior hardware with really big hammers.
Thank you for your consideration! I'm in desparate need of some [H]ard loot for my aging...
1. I would stand atop my roof and sing praises for New Egg and AMD! I would then replace my pillow with my new, kickass box and sleep with it every night! Oh, and I'd dedicate my old box completely to Folding At Home and team 33! :D
2. Phenom!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had this same problem after upgrading from an 850XT to a 1950XT (both PCIe). Regardless of what I tried, I would still get that error when installing the drivers. However, it seemed that it still installed the drivers properly, but CCC had to be installed separately afterwords. All the...
Turns out this mobo, an ASUS M2A-VM, doesn't play nice with NVidia cards with the earlier bios versions. I updated to the latest and it's working now, in case anyone else runs into this. :D
Thanks for the tips, though!
I verified that the add-in card is the primary. I'm starting to think that Vista is just too dumb to recognize this particular configuration. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know. Otherwise, I'm going to install XP and see if it's any smarter. :D
I'm trying to set up a new machine for a friend. It has an ASUS motherboard with integrated ATI graphics. We're dropping in a GeForce 7600 GS and trying to get all this to work under Vista. Here's the problem....
With the 7600 installed, Vista refuses to recognize any display device...
This article wasn't very [H]-like, IMO. It's nothing but hate propaganda. I think a good percentage of us here actually enjoy asking questions like "are there newer, better drivers available?" and "should I get AGP or PCI-E?". "How far can I push this CPU, baby!!!!!"
Is there even such a...
