Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Many people getting stuttering have been forcing settings that would make even a GTX 980 stutter. I saw guys putting a modded skyrim at 8x MSAA and watching it drop to 15fps at a specific part of a town and saying "see! it stutters!". I'm sorry, but any card would stutter there. The engine...
Problem is audio quality is more about the encoding method than adding effects on top of lossy encodings trying to fake something that isn't there because the compression lost the fidelity. Until we get lossless audio on PC games this won't make much difference at all. Current audio solutions...
Thought about doing a system rebuild with Z77 mobo, i5 3570k, and some DDR3 memory.
I currently have the system listed in my sig. My question is...should I upgrade the mobo/cpu/memory or just get a better GPU like a GTX670? Primarily I play games on this and nothing I do is related to video or...
That's just the size of one folder I guess when I checked it real quick I didn't check the entire Anime directory which is currently 270GB. Then I have a few 1080p movies stored. Really begins to eat up the space.
I think what I'll do is use SSD1 for OS/programs and SSD2 for game installs...
My anime collection is over 60gb. So I keep that on my 1tb drive. I don't necessarily need the raptor as my music etc will all fit between the two 128gb ssd drives I think. I suppose I could always keep it intact and only start up off it in an emergency in case the ssd ever has an issue...
I have a 128gb crucial m4 coming tomorrow and I ordered another one that will be here around Wednesday. I also have a 300gb velociraptor and a 1tb backup and storage drive.
I don't know how to configure these. I don't think I am going to run raid 0 with the ssds because I lose trim and the...
I agree with this. The bonus of this method is that when new stuff releases and old stock starts to price drop you can grab another one on a deal somewhere and go crossfire or SLI (depending on what card you happen to have).
To me if you aren't doing surround or eyefinity and 3D at insane...
Simply because the system aside from the GPU might really be perfectly fine. I know some people running 4Ghz+ quads on Motherboards with 1.0 PCI-E slots.
I'm running a PCI-E 2.1 6950 in my mobo which is 1.0a.
Uncharted has many very nice special effects. Particle effects for example in the water and dust/sand. Nice character models and some nice texture and lighting.
However it is a static environment which is much easier to make good looking.
Personally I think the 2GB is not worth it below 1920x1080 and even then 1GB for most games is perfectly fine. I think only Battlefield 3 will max out 1GB at 1920x1080 but I have not measured any other games specifically.
