Hey all,
Skyrim killed my system yesterday and I can't figure out if its the PSU or mobo that died.
Here are the specs:
2500K
MSI P67A-C43
OCZ Modstream 600W PSU
GTX 275
I was playing skyrim and the system crashed (shut off unexpectedly) and it won't POST now. I've tried...
I have been struggling with this for a few days so i thought i'd poll the forum for ideas. I've been running an E4300 at 3.0 ghz for the last two years and a few days ago I suddenly lost the overclock and everything went back to stock settings. I haven't made any hardware changes and the only...
So the higher FSB generally outweighs the higher CPU speed + tighter memory timings? For example E6300 @ 3.15 ghz (7 x 450, ddr2-900 5-5-5-15) versus E4300 @ 3.6 ghz (9 x 400, ddr2-800 4-4-4-12).
I've read a few reviews of the E4300 (see example below) that use strange memory-to-FSB ratios for their overclocks. Anyone know why anyone would want to use anything besides a 1:1 ratio (400 mhz FSB: DDR2-800) for overclocking the E4300?

I meant what voltage are you feeding the RAM. You'll probably need 2.0 or 2.1 V. The default is 1.8 V. Try taking the RAM up to 2.1 in increments. I think OCZ says they should be fine all the way up to 2.2 V.
Seems hot to me. Timings = 4-4-4-15. Am i missing something?
OCZ Sku = OCZ2P800R22GK.

Only the silver one is on sale but....the one I got has the same improvements as the P180B (black one). No VGA duct, new door, vented expansion slots in the back, etc. Antec must have put out a new revision to the silver P180 as well. Also, Fry's seems to have a lot of open box P180s which...
I just bought a 2405 from Dell Home. After reading all forums on various sites (FW, Anandtech, etc etc), I'm having some second thoughts. Has anyone actually hooked up a 720p or 1080i component signal to the 2405? How does it look? I've read a lot of crap about how the 2405 is limited to...
