I think there is an option in dvd decrypter to rip the dvd to a merged single 4gb vob file, in case you don't wan't to bother with conversion and have the extra space.
As the OP specified movies... I expect that he probably has all vol turned up. But then we all miss the most obvious things :D
Is there a way to boost volume of poorly recorded videos in realtime... like a software amp
I don't mind considerable hiss... the rest of it should be...
Even yahoo mail gives 400 mb. Also, gmail might not work as good over anonymous proxy sites etc. Otherwise it is easily the best.

I had a chance to check out the Philips SPC-805 headphones yesterday and they sounded pretty good. It also comes quite a bit cheaper than the Sennheiser 201's :D.
However, I can't be termed an audiophile by any stretch, even though I listen to a lot of music. Has anyone else got any opinion...
^^That is for dual booting between windows oses. As far as I know, it does not recognise linux.
I've not used ubuntu on my pc and but if it uses lilo or grub, then you can boot into ubuntu by using the cd and then reconfigure the bootloader it uses.
If you haven't done this before then the safest bet should be to empty out a windows partition and install linux on it(I'd reccomend Mandrake as it has a easy to understand installation you can go back to any point at any time).
What is a good file manager/windows explorer extension which can do stuff like recursively renaming files within a folder etc... also it has to be free.
