Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The manual also reveals this:
I've seen these "minor" cases on two 2713HM models, and they showed up after just a few minutes of use. Very disturbing on dark gray backgrounds, like the UI of 3dsmax or PS CS6.
To me this looks like a "feature" of AH-IPS panels. :(
I'm sorry, but that's bollocks :)
First of all, if your main concern is "what happens if the computer pauses, or the game stutters", then being able to render @240FPS won't guarantee a fix. Micro stuttering and freezes can occur regardless of processing power. Furthermore, multi-GPU...
Excellent! This means it wasn't bleeding, just panel glow. It's probably more pronounced because of the screen size - the larger the screen, the sharper your viewing angle will be towards the edges.
There seems to be a bit of bleeding in the second pic, but if you say the camera makes it...
@weagle thank you for the pics, but that does not look like backlight bleeding to me.
The front shot shows bright areas most noticeable in both left and right lower corners. However, each angle shot shows increased brightness in the farthest corner, and no bright spots in the corner closest to...
Asus rep confirmed this has a "true 8-bit" panel!

Looks like it's actually a PLS panel. High response time is confirmed, and the input lag is also pretty high. Not meant for gamers...

It's probably not IPS glow, most U2713HM monitors seem to have bleeding in the lower-left corner.
IPS glow is only visible in areas that are at an angle from your view. So you can check by moving your head and looking straight at the corner - if it's still visible then it's bleeding.
Can't wait for a review!
Meanwhile Dell "announced" a few more monitors.

Looks like U2711 is being discontinued and no sign of a replacement.
But why on earth...
Sadly it has 12ms response time. There was a bit of confusion around this, as the European website listed 12ms G2G while the US website showed 5ms (typ). But now both have 12ms in the spec sheet.
It seems it's using the same panel as HP ZR2740, maybe even the new light-AG version. Review should...
That's very strange. I paid the equivalent of 720 USD for mine, and things are generally more expensive here compared to the US.
Is it possible they deliberately "dumped" the first batches with issues for a lower price?
I replaced the first one and got my money back after the second. Reason for both was image retention and backlight bleeding.
But there's no "Dell" where I'm from, I had to deal with the store and luckily they have a 30-day money back guarantee.
