Yeah, it's a tough genre. There aren't that many games in it to begin with, and then trying to find good multiplayer makes it the choices really slim.
Grand Ages: Rome was pretty good but the multiplayer was somewhat lacking.
The Civilization series as was suggested is also pretty good. The...
Off the top of my head:
Dawn of Discover (Need the expansion for multiplayer)
and an older game called Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
Both are multiplayer city builders and me and my GF enjoyed both. If I remember when I get home I'll check to see what else we played in this genre. In...
He is referring to Civilization, most likely Civ 4. For those who haven't played, depending on the civilization/leader you choose to play as, you will get certain unique traits, buildings and units. These will give you some kind of advantage over those who have the standard version.
He is...
I am going to get some of these and have someone bring them down to me.
I'm willing to get some extra's to sell (in the Dallas area) to offset my costs if anyone else is interested. What would be a fair selling price?
Off the top of my head, it will display a larger number of units onscreen based of the system and settings. However there is still a cap that it won't go past. You might be able to increase that limit in the config files, not sure.
I don't know for certain though. I'm used to this from the...
Business is not a charity. A business isn't going to find the min price to sell at to just stay in business, if they can make more money at a higher price point they will, if they can make more at a lower price point they will.
Gas prices fluctuate during the day because business demand...
I definitely agree that convenience is in the eye of the beholder. To many times I went to buy a game from a retail store on release day only to find they didn't order enough, or haven't put it out yet and won't till later that day, or that the release date was really a ship date and it won't be...
I wasn't saying Fallout was being published by someone I hate. But that I avoid paying money to the ones I don't like and I jump at the chance to pay for the ones that I do like. I like Bethesda, I like steam. I want more games released on steam, and I want more games made by Bethesda. So the...
It's putting the money towards a service you like more (assuming you do), creating the demand for more releases from said services and hopefully improvements too.
I hate most of the big gaming publishers out there right now, so I jump at the chance to give money for a game I like to one of...
I used to, I loved collecting all the boxes for the games I bought. Now I much prefer not having to worry about installations or updates, don't have to keep track of CD's (I have had to rebuy a couple of games over the years when I lost the CD's) or even swap/insert discs to play the game.
Also, some of the games that had trouble with mods in the past, were games that were released, modded, and then released on steam later. With it being released on steam from the get go, the good modders will probably keep that in mind and work to make the mods compatible.
Steam FTW.
