I used to, I loved collecting all the boxes for the games I bought. Now I much prefer not having to worry about installations or updates, don't have to keep track of CD's (I have had to rebuy a couple of games over the years when I lost the CD's) or even swap/insert discs to play the game.

Also, some of the games that had trouble with mods in the past, were games that were released, modded, and then released on steam later. With it being released on steam from the get go, the good modders will probably keep that in mind and work to make the mods compatible. Steam FTW.
