    I had the same problem with my p4-478. I only used a small amount in the center of the heat spreader, when I removed my water block it pulled the cpu out of its socket. No damage, but a few grays hairs...

Besides it sucks putting the system together than trying to fit it in the case after a 24 hour test.. Maybe I have just been lucky but non of the h20 cooled systems I have assembled have leaked...

    Even if your cpu is bad the mobo comp should turn on. it will just beeb, but the power supply should turn on. I would try to reset your mobo..

    Cheek the temp on your memory. I have used the same ram, and ran into early thermal unstability. Had to remove the heat spreader pull the compound then reaply A.S. Improved performance significantly..
