So, I wanted to see what a better processor would do with my GTX680 so I brought it into my new workstation which is a Xeon E5-2665 and was surprised that it didn't really do THAT much better.

I'm wondering if it would be worth selling the entire rig with a GTX 570 for like $1000?
the problem is I have TWO X5647s.
I'm considering trading one of them for an X58 motherboard.
right now it has 12GB on it (3 chips on mainboard. 3 on daughter board.)
there's 6 slots on the mainboard and 3 on the daughter (not sure if I can use the other three on the mainboard to be honest)
So, might be worth it to find a good X58 for cheap and go single socket?
will still consume less power than two Xeons on the same board.
Perhaps I could trade my second processor for an X58 motherboard...
