i'm deciding which 1TB HD i want to spring for. im noticing that seagate is consistently cheaper than other brands, but i've had bad experiences with those drives. would anyone else advise against seagate? does anyone have anything good to say about the hitachi deskstar 7k1000?

I've got Creative SB X-Fi. Sometimes I run itunes and say, WMP or DivX at the same time on mute. When I do this the itunes begins speeding up and slowing down- becoming very choppy. Anyone ever heard of this before?
