Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Good to know on the GTS, thanks.
If I were going to overclock, would a 9600 or an 8800GT likely yield better results?
I think I'm leaning more and more to SLI 9600, if I go by the [H]OCP review I will hopefully be able to play Crysis on fairly high settings @ 1650 res.
Any reason for...
Time to buy a new graphics card for my rig, and I'm having some trouble deciding on a couple of different models. Reading through the forums has led me to mixed reviews for the most part.
I can get my a 9600gt for $130, an 8800gt for $170 and a GTS 640 version for $200. All of these seem...
Ended up getting two sticks of the above 5400 ram with an E3400 running on an EVGA 680i. Decided that it was better to pay the money now for a mobo that I can upgrate with a Quad down the line and 4 ram slots.
Thanks for the input guys.
If I went with a cheaper mobo, perhaps a Gigabyte 965-P or something similar, would I still be able to achieve similar results? Or is the overclock with the cheap ram dependent on the Mobo?
Topic pretty much sums it up. I'm planning to overclock an E3400 on a 680i board, and am trying to figure out what speed of RAM I need to be getting to overclock to 3 Ghz. I live in Canada, but see a really good deal on " OCZ PC2-5400 1GB DDR2-667"...
So I am in the process of building a new computer for Vista. My question is after having watched memory prices vary by hundreds of dollars for similar items based on what largely seems like distributor's whim, am I better off buying memory now, @ the price they are currently at? Or should I wait...
