Its a Biostar board that has both agp and PCIe so I'm looking to move to PCIe. I'm really leaning to the 7900gs over the x1950 pro because a) nvidia's drivers will force the monitor to do fixed-aspect scaling like a dell or gateway monitor, and b) linux drivers. I can get a used reference...

Both monitors will be on sale for those prices without rebates, so they will sell out fast. Best to go very early in the morning to get a ticket to buy it (I think that's how they do it at Best Buy) for the Westinghouse at least -- that's the only place that monitor is sold, and its $300 off.
