can't talk to the VR or game dev work, but for DL depends on the DL workloads you have in mind, and whether any of them would be CPU trained (this may happen with some quantization schemes that may not be supported on GPU, idk what CUDA has available now) - in these cases more RAM better...

are there general guidelines on what sound at what distance is audible? i know it'll depend on ambient noise just curious how to think about things
also wonder if there's much coil whine or not on the card, guess that'll depend on manufacturer?
