Use case is professional work (game dev), deep learning (less frequent for now), and VR

Goals
Main unknown is what RAM speed and what motherboard. Don’t plan to do much if any overclocking.

can't talk to the VR or game dev work, but for DL depends on the DL workloads you have in mind, and whether any of them would be CPU trained (this may happen with some quantization schemes that may not be supported on GPU, idk what CUDA has available now) - in these cases more RAM better. inference can commonly happen on the CPU, if i understand correctly, so RAM speed may be helpful there (depending on the DL application and how much end to end latency matters).
