27" or 32" monitors with the option to disable DP "deep sleep"?

My icons are still doing whacky stuff even on Windows 11, but that isn't really the big issue. I want to be able to turn my second monitor off or on while playing a game (or really just using my computer in general) without it triggering a hardware disconnected/reconnected event that causes my...

27" or 32" monitors with the option to disable DP "deep sleep"?

What the title says. I'm looking for a 27" or 32" 1440p or 4k monitor (preferably 120hz+) that allows you to turn off "deep sleep" mode via displayport. In more practical terms, I WANT A MONITOR I CAN TURN OFF WITHOUT WINDOWS THINKING IT DISAPPEARED FROM EXISTENCE AND REARRANGING MY DESKTOP...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

This result is absolutely pathetic. Even older WOLEDs blow this out of the water. Comparing them to even last years QD-OLED TVs would be a joke at best. I think I would deal with a 42" TV before buying one of these dim turds. The 42" C2 HDR is 37% brighter in "real scene brightness". Mini LED...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

How does the HDR performance compare between the two? I planned on jumping on the first flat panel version of this monitor to come to market, but I'm having second thoughts after seeing some of the brightness measurements... 10% window measurements looks terrible. Worse than even the C2...

Black Friday - Hulu/Max/Disney+/Paramount/Peacock Streaming Deals

So now I have to pay for a VPN, and suffer house-wide latency and bandwidth limitations due to the VPN as well? Just to block ads? Wow, what a deal!!!

Black Friday - Hulu/Max/Disney+/Paramount/Peacock Streaming Deals

So completely irrelevant, unless you want to watch your shows/movies in potato quality. If I had to pick between suffering through ads, or ad-free but at 720p with no HDR... I'm taking the ads even if they cost extra (please don't tell the streaming companies that or Hulu is going to start...

Black Friday - Hulu/Max/Disney+/Paramount/Peacock Streaming Deals

Let me guess... they involve watching on a computer and not a streaming device like a Shield TV? The ads are a deal breaker for me at any price point as well.

Anyone else disappointed with this seasons game releases?

2023 has been pretty phenomenal in terms of game releases IMO. 11 out of the 22 games I played this year were new releases, and the only one that truly disappointed me was Diablo 4. And I have yet to play BG3 or some of the other heavy hitters this year.

    Alan Wake 2

Yes, 7/10 for the total package at the moment because it's one of the best looking games on the market currently. And no, a game doesn't have to be a 10/10 for me to play it. I played Shadow Warrior 3 and Maneater earlier this year, and both ranked a 7/10 on my completely non-scientific personal...

    Alan Wake 2

Finally finished this dumpster fire tonight. The ending hours were some of the worst parts of the entire game. I'm giving this one a 7/10, mainly carried by the incredible graphics. Next generation, this will be a 4/10 on a good day. Easily the worst Remedy game I have ever "played".

The Last of Us Part II

I'm still not touching this woke dumpster fire with a 10 foot pole.

    Alan Wake 2

Either I'm going insane, or the original Alan Wake had a recharging flashlight. Like it would recharge out of combat, so you rarely had to use batteries. Fun little (likely) bug I've noticed in AW2 - loading a save game fully recharges your flashlight. I've accidentally hit "Q" a few times and...

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

No duh the fov didn't increase, the aspect ratio is the exact same.

    Alan Wake 2

No, I'm not new to "modern gaming". Not sure what you're getting at here. This game is complete, and nothing is broken about it. In fact, it's technically better than most AAA titles released this year. Looks great, runs great (considering the graphical fidelity), no game breaking bugs, etc...

    Alan Wake 2

It's far from fantastic, because every now and then they force you to "play" the game. And the actual "gameplay" is horrible. I have no idea how they possibly could have play tested this game and went "yep, this is fine, lets ship it".
