    I have the Dyanudio Contour and Confidence and do not run them full range, they are cut 70hz on down... I use JL Audio and TC Sounds to reproduce the depths, nothing like a properly matched sub arrays. As for the tiny B&W PC speakers they are overpriced , get some Genelec or ADAM monitors...

    m audio av40 too bassy?

    The M-Audio AV30 and 40 are not too bassy,they are very sensitive to boundary placement. As they are tuned high they will sound very boomy when placed close to walls. Having a console or elevating/angling the speakers will help alot. For best results I use Auralex MoPad dense foam...
