    Hey I should check my pm more often!
    I have a server with 3 disk software raid 5 using server 2008 software based raid. It will get 50-60mb/s write speed which i consider pretty bad as the read speed is 200+
    This is using dual xeon cpu @ 3.2ghz and thats a p4 based xeon.
    Disks involved are the older raptor x 150gb drives @ 10000 rpm

    In one post you said Windows 2008 Server Software Raid5 write speed are pretty bad.
    Do you have an example ? (CPU & Speed ?) Anything above 10MB/s is fine for me.
