    The BEAST

Machinist; makes perfect sense! I was thinking how awesome it would be to have access to materials and equipment that people use to actually make those parts! Really admire everything you are doing; keep it up man, loving this thread.

    The BEAST

Holy BEAST. You sir, are a bad ass! If you don't mind me asking... How much do you think this build will cost you? And the next logical question is: what do you do for a living?

Post your Mouse and Keyboard pics

Hey man could you take a picture or tell me if you take a flashlight and put it behind one of the key caps, will the laser etching become more apparent (highlighted)? Thank man!

    $600 Computer Build.

My one suggestion coming from the above posted list of components would be to go with a 256GB SSD. You will see the price drop for some of them ~ $150.00. 120 GB is fine for a main drive; but if you don't have a backup disk / somewhere to store data you will find yourself looking for space...

Geek Squad Accused Of Stealing Customer’s Naked Photos

Hey man... It's not just Geek Squad. It's Best Buy. I was going to CC a few years ago with a girl that worked at Best Buy, we were on the same team for a Engineering course. The team had a shared Drop Box that was linked to our personal accounts, she ended up posting an entire set of nudies to...

    Advice for new work rig

I have the 450W Rosewill Capstone (80+ Gold) Modular. It's been working steady for a year now, and it comes with a 5 Year Warranty. I can't speak of anything outside of their Capstone series though.

    2013 MacBook Air - Questions & Answers

Thanks for the suggestions; I don't think I will be putting too much time into games (maybe Civ5 or KSP when I'm bored and away from my PC). But I'm still worried about how MATLAB will handle... Just got my student status verified just trying to gather the $99.00 for the software!

Temprature Issue with Asus GTX 770 OC Edition

Aye, if you are serious about getting as much out of the card as you can. Invest in a waterblock and get a liquid cooling solution in your machine. Or you can live in a freezer (watch out for condensation). Now if you just want to bring the temperature down, download EVGA Precision GPU tweek...

    Mechanical Keyboard Guide

I just got word that WASD V2 Code might be dropping sometime next week. V2 Code will only be available with Cherry MX Clear switches.... Good news for me, bad news if you don't like Clears.

    Razer Blade 14" Alternative

Aye but that's what CHANG3D was looking for. For 47W TDP (CPU+GPU) the battery life should be good. Still to this date, not many Haswell mobile releases... No "mainstream" Iris Pro laptops are out yet... EDIT: I forgot to add how much of a bummer not being able to get an Iris Pro laptop; I was...

Battery Life for a 14" - AMD vs Intel

Well, the A8 series runs at either 35W or 45W TDP. Intel's mobile Haswell processors are running from 15W, 28W, 37W, and 47W. So you can definitely save battery life by opting for the 15W processor, but some of the processor's box prices are as much as some A8 built laptops. The i7-4650U (the...
