The PC-60 Plus II has a 120mm fan up front. The reason they cannot put a 120 in the back, which they have done with the PC-7, is that the removable motherboard tray is not wide enough in the back, and cannot be wider.

AMD hasn't had the need till now to lower prices. Supply and demand: people are willing to pay those prices for CPUs, so they have no need to lower prices.

The most significant part of the stories, besides the purchase of course, is that the links aren't to the Inquirer. :p But seriously, the microprocessor industry is about to get very interesting.

8cm^2= 64 square cm 12cm^2= 144 square cm Even more than double. I'd say the extra 4cm is worth it. It will satisfy her more too...because it won't be as loud. :D

Well, you could make a blend of CFC gases and R134a.:D It would just be illegal.

Now that is some good customer service.

I believe the older version, with the two hole mounting system, will fit it.

I'm sure TN is working very hard to get huge sums of money so that she can upgrade to AM2* *Not! She is working so that she can buy more AC stuff. (7950 GX2 + AC WB anyone?)

I'm sure the hood scoop gives the comp an extra 10-15 mhz.

Thats what I thought as well. But then I went to the Lian Li website, and the dimensions for the PC-7/60 and the PC-6070 are different. PC-7: 210x450x490 PC-6070: 210x490x525

Ooh MIPS stuff! I like it.

Definitely not in any mobo except for the couple that have both types of slots. DDR and DDR2 will not fit in the same slots.

When you painted the PC-7, what prep work did you do to the anodized aluminum?

It will fit the PC-7, but not the 6070.

The price cuts havent even happened yet. We don't know whether or not the low voltage x2 3800 will be reduced as well.
