    It's the SB thats too hot. My video card is blocking airflow from reaching it, and I don't think the tiny heatsink is doing a very good job.

    I do have a fan blowing over where the CPU socket is, but it may still be positioned as an exhaust. I'll have to check the chipset, see how hot it is.

    My CPU temps are nice and cool, but the mainboard sensor (right under the socket I believe) is over twice the temp of the cpu? I've got a Corsair H70 cooler on there, keeping it nice and cool, but why does the mainboard sensor report such a significantly higher temp? I'm not overclocking as of now.

    Tried everything. Downloading new drivers, installing, updating, removing, etc. Nothing works. Drivers reset and don't work every time machine is rebooted. Keeps resetting to High Definition Audio Device. Not consistent even when working, will sometimes display as the correct Realtek name...

    Is it possible to upgrade from XP? Though I very much prefer a new install rather than an upgrade. Upgrading an OS seems like a horrible idea, as I found out while upgrading ubuntu some time ago.

    So I picked up a copy of home premium for 30 bucks being a student. I just noticed after paying that it is an upgrade copy. Will I be able to do a full fresh install using this? If not, is there a way to convert it from upgrade to full?
