    Vendetta 2 temperatures

    I used CoreTemp to read the temperatures and the ambient temperature is around 20C. The vCore is at 1.32V which is the default for the E6300 (it's not on auto), isn't 1.18V too low for this processor? From the temperatures posted from the other users, I'll try and re-apply the paste correctly...

    I wouldn't recommend it. You might gain a little speed, but it will also generate more heat and the battery life will decrease.

    Why does CPU-Z show my E6850 at 2040mhz ??

    the decrease of the multiplier is enabled by default, so yes it applies to everyone with a c2d. when playing games the multiplier goes back to 9x. the mobo probably does it job the right way. you can disable the option in your bios' options if you want. set EIST to disabled

    I had the same problem when playing CS:S with 420FSB+, game froze and the computer locked up and had to reset... I reflashed my bios to F8 and everything seems to be stable w/ stock voltages on vCore and +.3 on vDimm (Corsair XMS2 PC2-5400).
