That is most excellent news! Really didn't want to change to a am3 build.
I read in a few spots that UEFI doesnt work in 32bit, be it win XP/vist/7 whatever. What is this CSM mode and how can I figure if the board supports it? And then how to use it if it does?
Thanks a lot!
Hey guys. Building a budget web browser PC for my grandmother and I've picked out my parts but have one question before ordering.
The board I'm getting is the MSI A55M-P33 FM1 and it has a UEFI bios. I'm going to use my windows xp disk so I don't have to shell out more for win7 and I'm not...
Hm, I just downloaded the new bios, extracted the zip and moved it to my usb drive. Then moved the files into the recyle bin. The 2 files (zipped and unzipped bios) removed themselves from the recycle bin and put FLASHSPI.exe and Autoexec.bat on my desktop.
What is this and should I worry?
Nah my mobo idles in the mid 30s and maxes out at 45 with GPU at full load of 60-65C. NB idles at 45-48 and maxes out at 54. Just a little air flow tends to really help lower the NB temp, increasing the fan speed on my hyper 212+ cpu heatsink (which is slightly above the NB too) from 1.5k to 2k...
TMPIN0 should be mobo temp, TMPIN1 cpu socket and TMPIN2 north bridge. Easiest way to confirm would be to check with another program such as everest, but thats what i get on mine.
Does anyone know how to get speaker fill for 5.1 surround on this mb? Downloaded the latest (rather only) drivers from gigabytes site and can't find any option for it anywhere. I know I had the option on my old mb with VIA.
Ok so at first I was not getting coil whine until I tried loading crysis, and even with c1e disabled I still get the whine while gaming.
Tried enabling C1E, C3/C6/C7 and EIST in different combinations and either way my computer crashes either while loading windows or shortly after with any...
rev 1.0 board and Corsair 850TX. Can't say I really noticed any coil whine. I stuck my ear next to it with the side case off and in the right area I thought I heard a very faint whine but not really.
Also I've got a cooler master hyper 212+ in push/pull with 1 fan plugged into cpu fan and the...
