The Best Graphics Cards at Every Price Point. AMD vs Nvidia.

This is absolutely correct. I still build and game with a group of about 8 close friends. We all turn to eachother for advice. When one of us has a bad experience with something, we'll bind together to find a solution. If solution can't be found, then it spoils for all of us, not just one. As...

The Best Graphics Cards at Every Price Point. AMD vs Nvidia.

I completely agree with the GTX 970 conclusion.... Why? I've spent the past 48 hours with both a GTX 970 and an R9 390... My first choice was the R9 390... However, after getting the dreaded black screen after attempting to load the AMD catalyst. After 10 hours of every possible work...

FS: BFG 6800 GS 8x AGP, unlockable

Selling one BFG 6800 GS AGP video card. It is being pulled from my second desktop machine. The card is about 6 months old. This card is FULLY UNLOCKABLE with NO GLITCHING, ARTIFACTING OR ANY PROBLEMS (all pipes and shaders in tact). The card also runs fully stable at 400/1195 (has been at...

Found a fix for NF-44 1T RAM problem

Tried this fix... It still crashes under heavy load if overclocked. Had my opteron set at 2.2GHz (10%OC) and tried the 1T fix, blue screened in 3dmark06.

    Difference in 7900GT's?

I am about to purchase another eVGA 7900GT KO to go into my SFF SLi case... Yet the company I originally ordered my first from is out of stock of the exact same one I purchased about 2 weeks ago... But they do have another eVGA 7900GT KO in stock, same clock speeds, same everything except model...

eVGA 131-K8-NF44-AX NF4 SLi mATX Mobo Thread

I love the small compact size of this board for SLi... But I have run into some problems... First is the issue with 1T timings... for some reason, this board doesn't like em... I've had to reinstall several times and bump my RAM voltage up, as well as manually set the timings to avoid...

    Project speeder: $4000: FX60, 7800GTX, SG01B

Mine arrived the exact same way... I am awaiting for some updated bios as eVGA finally recognized this board as their own on their site and are finally gonna offer support for it. Hopefully the 1T issue is fixed in the next bios update as thats a 10% performance hit.

Dream rig becoming a NIGHTMARE, HELP!

Update: I've reinstalled and have been wailing on the machine as much as possible. It seems that the person that sent me a PM suggesting I up my RAM voltage to help with the 1T corruption has helped, though the board is still flaky with 1T timings (I await the first bios update). Several...

Dream rig becoming a NIGHTMARE, HELP!

I personally am a huge OCZ fan... great products from them... But this is actually the third set of GSkill RAM that I have dealt with, the other two sets ran flawlessly up to ~290MHz FSB (not bad for being specced at 250). Not to mention that I have memtested this RAM and received 0 errors. And...

Dream rig becoming a NIGHTMARE, HELP!

Well, after discussing this with several of my other buddies... We have somewhat of a theory behind my problem, but are not sure about some other systems. We figured out that there was one constant in the works on my machine that may have caused this to happen to the Win XP install. It was...

Dream rig becoming a NIGHTMARE, HELP!

Just got off the phone with microsoft tech support... Had to give him a BS schpele about what I was doing with the computer. But he believes that if you happen to run a program of anysort that causes the system to max out for a certain amount of time, it somehow is corrupting the boot sector...
