I went ahead a got a pair of the sony floorstanding speakers and hooked them up. I have to say it really is a great improvement.

I would get the R50's but the cherry goes with absolutely nothing of mine. It would look beyond out of place.

Because I'm honestly not sure what these things go for... I know they aren't made anymore and the ones I've seen on ebay go for $300-$500 although nobody seems to be buying them at that price.

I've had my Logitech Z-5300e setup (Z-5300e + Creative DDTS-100 decoder) for over a year now and my speakers just died. I'm looking for a new setup, I'm really open to ideas of PC speakers or a HT setup but it needs to be kept under or around $300. Any suggestions?
