    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

We can always hope. The color mods of Remastered just don't do it for me. Remastered looks great in its own way, but it can't reproduce those Oblivion greens without messing everything else up.

    How AI will fail

I heard similar spiel about machine learning 10 years ago when that was still in its public infancy. Now every company doing anything scientific has their own ML team - if not producing anything than at least for show, to claim they are on par and up to date with modern talent. You have no AI in...

    How AI will fail

The whole anti-AI sentiment is setting up people for disaster. They will be left behind. This is not a maybe situation. After using AI quite a bit in the last few months and really learning how to delegate agents, run workflows, etc - I now see this technology is as revolutionary as the...

    FS: RTX 4090, 3090, 3080Ti, 2080Ti

Yup I still remember that... was it a Q6660? That might have been the first in-person transaction I did. Everything was so much better then with this hobby. GPUs actually available on Newegg, 50% overclocks on those Core 2 Duo/Quads. Etc. Sigh... well, just something to tell my own kid about...

Thanks and done. Any idea on how long does it take my account to show 2FA? For now everything is pending.

ASUS Plans Up to 30% PC Price Increase Amid DRAM and CPU Shortages

So, it looks like these days I can get more for my 8x32GB of DDR4 that I purchased for a little bit over a $1000... in 2021. My high-end RAM upgrades from 2020-2021 are really the only reason I'm in any place to upgrade. I'm upgrading my 3970X workstation finally to a 9970X workstation, and it...

I got bored of playing games so I made one myself: Rezarus: Armor Evolved

Some more recent play from Impulse Wars! This is the "silly mode" of the game - using ramps/edges etc to try to launch your opponents off of. You end up with really funny sequences of events that lead to a kill or death. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sezIMRlSVtw

RTX PRO 6000 released with 96GB of VRAM

I miss the days (2013) when $1K Titans were considered outrageous. We did not properly inflation adjust since then. :(

I got bored of playing games so I made one myself: Rezarus: Armor Evolved

What's up all! We play some games now weekly - usually Thursday evenings. As usual, it's free to hop on and you have access everything. And for anyone new, the game now features mouse aiming, and if you play lasers/ctf - an auto shield shifter module (use the 4th preset loadout in the mode) so...

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Performance, Overclocking and Cooling Thread

Are there any boards that support bifurcation of a 16x or 8x slot down to 4x/4x/4x/4x or 2x/2x/2x/2x? I have a NVME raid card I'd like to use and would also be fine with running the GPU in an 8x slot.

I got bored of playing games so I made one myself: Rezarus: Armor Evolved

Long due bump - game is now free to play on Itch! Join us for some small daily skirmishes (often evenings CST) if you can handle playing old school keyboard only!

5090 in stock and it looks like it is staying in stock

And with that, the great GPU pricing experiment is coming to an end. But there's still always the TITAN class of GPUs that could probably command $3K. For the x90 it looks like $2-$2.5K may be the max the market is willing to support - but we need a month or two of consistent overstock to really...

The Death of Affordable Computing | Tariffs Impact & Investigation

Aside from the GPU market everything else is still OK... for now. Sure, it would be nice to get a 9800X3D for less than $500, but it's pretty much the equivalent of a $350 E6600 way back when. Same goes for the motherboard, RAM, etc. If we're going to compare to when you could get the top of...

5090 in stock and it looks like it is staying in stock

I think people are just going to have to get used to settling for a 5080 or 9070XT from here on out, because AI is always going scoop up whatever Nvidia is producing at the high end. For current 4090 owners that may even mean waiting until the 6080 releases.
