Haha. Yeah, I figured it out. I used pg up/pg dwn. That also did not help. I really hate that SP1 f-ed up my connection. Gonna do a complete reinstall with a slipstreamed disc and see if that helps.
That didn't do it. NIC problem still happen even with PCI NIC. So, I read a post on some forum where a person had the same type of problem as me. They bumped there SB voltage up a hair, and all was good. So here is my problem, my SB voltage is greyed out. I can adjust all my other voltages, but...
Nah. PCI NIC is fine, but my network supports Gigabit, and my the current PCI NIC is only 10/100. The reason for the PCI-E version is so that I can move it forward in future builds.
Probably go with an Intel PCI PRO/1000 GT NIC. Decently priced on NewEgg.
Yeah, I hate pulling the board...
Yeah, but my x1 slot is blocked by an after market cooler for the chipset. Don't want to spend more money on a different cooler, when this one has been good to me and my OC.
As for the onboard NIC. My problems are that when I am gaming (TF2, DoD:S, CoH:OF), my ethernet port shuts down...
I am running an 8800GTS 640MB card. Now I have to decide if getting this PCI-E NIC is worth all the hassle.
Thanks again. I got no responses on the MSI forum. Your time is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the reply. I did read that before posting. I understand all of it, I just don't understand why MSI says that that slot is for graphics only. They should change that if that is not the case.
So when I flip the SLI card and make both slots x8, will I notice a slow down in my GPU...
So does this mean I can definitely use an x1 NIC in the second x16 slot on this MOBO?
My MOBO NIC does not work properly, I am currently using a PCI NIC, but want to upgrade to a PCI-Ex1 NIC. I can't use the the x1 slot due to an after market chipset cooler.
The specs at the MSI website...
Maybe someone can help me, I posted this in the OCing thread. This board is just confounding me in every possible way when it comes to OCing.

When I try to overclock my P6N SLI-Fi and E6750 to 3.6 GHz, I can boot into windows and run Orthos for 6 hours straight with no errors. I do this on 1.45 CPU Voltage, 1.4 NB Voltage and 1.5 SB Voltage and no bump in FSB VTT Voltage. All temps are good. My ram is Crucial Ballistix DDR800 running...
