OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Yep confirming that it supports 3tb+. Ive been at it for hrs now trying to resolve this. I think its got something to do with not recognizing the names? Using command line and GUID to reference the drives has got me closer. Currently looks like this; NAME STATE READ WRITE...

Android apps fail to authenticate & access cifs/smb shares on zfs

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Every app I have tried ends up with incorrect login details error messages. The same apps work fine when accessing windows shares. Smb shares I am attempting to access are in OI and configured via napp-it. As per OP if I login anonymously then I can see...

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Tried updating but kept hanging at update images. It may have been downloading, but I wasn't sure so cancelled. Instead I updated via Solaris update manager, rebooted and tried again. This time napp-it updated successfully. Have to agree with others, the new gui is very nice!

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Something odd has happened since this event. The smartinfo for the affected drive is now displaying in napp-it! (it wasn't before, and currently the other 5 drives still don't). The only thing I can put this down to is having re-configuring the drive via 'cfgadm'. If I was to unconfigure and...

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Thanks Gea for your response and efforts! I hot unplugged and hot connected the drive. Napp-it (zfs status) then showed the drive is unavailable. After reconfiguring the drive via cfgadm -c configure sata0/0 and then clearing the error the pool is back to healthy. Will do a scrub now to...

Im happy to report that it worked! I configured the dell 6i/r to raid1 and installed esxi + used this for vm datastore. I then passed through the amd sb850 onboard controller (ahci mode). esxi only recognised the controller as sb700. I was then able to use the 6 drives attached to this...
