Out of the box your board propably has F2 bios and you need F4a at least for this (new) CPU to work I think.

I'm not sure if with an older bios it's...
@timothius
Have you tried a few Mhz above 400?
I'm still running the F2 bios and FSB@333 with mem (2.5x) @1000Mhz. But planning on installing the F4a bios and run FSB400 and mem@800 agian (G.Skill 800Mhz at 4-4-4-12 mem).
My Antec NSK3400 build with a Seasonic S12-II 430 PSU and a 8800GTS. Just between the HD and the GTS it gets quite hot it seems, but it's working alright.
The E6420 is running on a 333FSB (stock voltage and stock Intel cooler, it's now an incognito E6750) and the G.Skill memory at 1000Mhz...
Haven't tested the SU-380 yet, just put in the Seasonic S12-II :)
The casefan makes more noise than the Seasonic :)
I'll give Everest a try. But I found Speedfan (http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php) now which works great and also together with OCCT!
The 8800GTS is fine btw just without...
So, it all fits in my newly arrived Antec NSK3400 including the 8800GTS and the Seasonic S12-II 430W PSU. It's a little cramped in the top compartment with the cabling, but it fits. The air-vents on the top are great for use with an Seasonic :)
Which tool do you (all) use to readout the...
I'll put it all in, just bought the S12 II 430W because I read it was better and more stable. The efficientcy on low load is much better also. I'll keep thinking (dreaming) it will earn itself back. Or maybe I'll put it for sale or keep it for a test setup or something. We'll see what happens to...
Your comparing apples with bananas now. The Intel Matrix Raid solution is far more flexible and can use a part of a drive and build a Raid 1 setup with that part and a smaller disk. And no extra card which might block your airflow in a small case or won't even fit because I've got a GeForce 8800...
Yes!
I've bought this board because the Asus is build with an ICH9 southbridge instead of the raid capable ICH9R version which the Gigabyte is equipped with.
Didn't you have another PSU installed? Or is that the mixup in my head with somebody else with this setup?
There's already someone in this thread with this setup I think. Or I've read it on SPCR....
It get quite crowded in the case and the SU-380 PSU from antec in the NSK3400 should be sufficient also. The S12 has a side fan which has online 1 cm clearance with the top cover. So I might put that for...
Not very shocking, but I've selected this board to build a home/game PC in a mATX case (placed in living room). It had to be (fairly)quiet and fast also. A lot of reading done and almost selected the non OC'able Intel Q965 based motherboard (their G965 doesn't have the ICH8R/DO/DH southbridge...
