You guys mention that the shadow becoming almost invisible in PCSS is a negative...but isn't that more realistic? In my mind, sun hitting a power line that's dozens of feet in the air WOULDN'T create a a show on the ground, so shouldn't that be how it's represented in a video game?

I'm with you. I usually disable Depth of Field because of the performance boost and because most games go overboard with it...but it just looks so nice in GTA 5, and the performance hit is minimal.

I think AMD CHS looks the worst, but regardless, judging by the images, 'Rockstar SOftest' both looks the best AND performs the best. I'll be checking it out when I get home tonight. Does that include the settings in the ADVANCED Graphics Settings menu? Like HD streaming in-flight and stuff...

This is exactly what I worry about, and what I ran into 1 or 2 times with my old 5870 (not super frequent, but still...). Thing is, I can't recall a time when I've run into this with nvidia. Sure, there have been games that ran better on AMD cards, and with Tomb Raider, you lose the fancy...

I took a look at that other thread, but it kind of devolved into a pissing match about price and drivers, and talked less about the features of each card, which is what I'm more concerned with. For the sake of this thread, maybe just assume that they are the same price. I'll factor in the cost...

When I initially signed up, I was folding for a different team, but then I switched teams, which I guess caused my stats id to change (or rather, I got a new stats id for the new team, but it wasn't associated with my user), and I don't see any way to change it, so I'm wondering how I can do that.
