intel has made gpus though with there onboard chipsets, just not high performance cards.
AMD didn't make GPUs, they just bought ATi
I'd be intrigued to see what nvidia does. Maybe they will buy VIA and do a revamp/faster c3/c7
Can you wait 3 more months? the 4850 shouldn't have to much problem with MW2, it's not that demanding.
please tell me your name is [BA] maverick786 or something like that on MW2
What ever happened to ATI triple play? I googled and it just shows it was slated for release 2 years ago. Ageia said it was garbage. Then Ageia was bought by Nvidia and Nvidia basically copied the triple play idea and made it into "CUDA processing".
Where is AMD's solution?

No need for bezel management. Too bad you can't buy one yet, but they will be selling a 77" (3 x 30") monitor for.... $24,999
I finally got the two cards to work together. The card that I had as the primary is now in the secondary spot just for rendering. It definitely has a problem since it makes a horrendous noise but crossfire is working. I am going to call XFX or Newegg tomorrow and see if they will ship me a new...
I've tried each card separately, they both have the same problem. They are both brand new. I haven't OC'd anything on my system.
Before the first 2 sets of BSOD I was playing MW2 without problem. Now it runs like garbage. Could there be a problem with the primary PCI-E slot?
GPUz reports...
So i've bought a new computer with the following specs:
evga x58 sli
i7 920
12 gig ram
2 xfx radeon HD 4890s
1.5 TB hdd
windows 7 profession 64bit
i've run into numerous problems, maybe some of you can assist me in figuring out what to do.
1. Every couple of restarts, my computer...
are you going for the 14in or 15.4? If you step it up to the 17in laptop you can get a 7950gtx go card which would be pretty damn sufficient for a laptop video card. I bet the battery life on that thiing is like 30 minutes.
I have both and GoW is my choice. RB6:V is cool but just too slow paced for me. too much ducking and shooting. GoW is chaotic and a pop up and shoot kind of game.
i have both systems. both are great and this argument about it being to expensive is still retarded.
PS3 with a blu ray player costs the same as 360 with its HD DVD player add on. Completely the same cost but has built in a 802.11 and a 60gig hdd instead of 20gig.
there isn't much out yet...
