Well, I don't know exactly what was wrong with the last unit I got, but the new panel they sent is just about perfect. The old one was a May something revision and this new one is June something.
Edit: Amazon also refunded me the price difference. Pretty darn happy.
Thanks. I'll look into that. Maybe I'm not using the right word with "clouding", maybe its actually banding or smearing, but it's much worse on the left side of the display. I've been using just the right half since it's so big until the replacement comes and I've not been having problems...
I got a unit from Amazon a month ago and have been pretty happy with it except it was causing some strain in my right eye only. I guess this is what is known as "clouding" on VA panels and it's only a problem on the left side of my monitor. Amazon is supposed to be shipping a replacement today...
The other thing I see with an RMA is I can't reproduce the problem. I stressed the card with OCCT and it shows no errors. Do I just send them the picture I posted above?
Well, I sent the UPC away for a rebate because I figured it was drivers or something other than the video card to happen on two of them. Newegg can't keep the Flex card in stock for more than a couple days at time either so I was also guessing my best bet for RMA would be back to Sapphire if...
The big reason why I don't think it's the monitor or the cables is the problem only started when I installed the 6950 Flex. I tried messing with figuring it out for a couple days and finally gave up and RMA'd the card. At that point I went back to using the same three monitors and cables with...
Yeah sorry, I was trying to keep it short. But when I switched the cable I was in effect switching the monitors too. The problem won't "follow" to what I thought was a bad monitor, it just stays on the center screen regardless which monitor/cables I use.
Hey there, was hoping somebody might be able to help me out. I picked up a 6950 Sapphire Flex Edition card to run in Eyefinity Crossfire with a 6950 Dirt 3 Edition Sapphire I already have.
The reason I got the Flex is my monitors are old Dell 2007fp with only DVI input. What happens is...
Was trying to find a storage solution as well. Wanted to used it as a media server for the most part. Looked at this Mediasonic USB 3.0 External Enclosure
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817576009
But $140 for just a case seems a bit much. That Antec 300 seems like an...
Hey, thanks for the help.
I got the core parts today and will probably put something together tomorrow to test them out and see if I need to RMA anything.
I looked at your recs for video cards and there were only two that caught my eye. The Sapphire "Flex" 6950 which is supposed to solve...
I think I might have screwed up. I haven't bought anything new I'm still waiting on all the parts I bought to get here, but I just put the two Dell 20" in portrait mode next to each other to see what it looked like because I had always run one in landscape for movies and stuff and the other in...
My vague plan with the 3 HDDs was to use the two 1TB F3s as work drives (one as input/raw material and one as output/being recorded to) and then reuse the WD Black 640 GB as a semi-retired storage drive for backups and plug ins, (albeit a little small), but just starting out I don’t have...
Went ahead and ordered some stuff today. Switched the mobo to the MSI Z68A-GD65 (B3) because it looked like on the less expensive boards if I ever went SLI/Crossfire I would be blocking the PCI slot for a sound card and the MSI P67A version of this board got the HardOCP.com Gold Award Winner so...
I'm not sure it will, but I want to give it a try. Right now the 2004fp is out in my living room and I'm using the 2007fp in landscape mode and just turned the cleartype option back on because it doesn't work in portrait mode for some reason which is what I had it in before when I had both on...
You almost read my mind. I didn't think the deals (at least with Microcenter) were going anywhere, but I had the 64GB SSD, 16GB RAM and the 212 in my basket at Newegg with a $50 off $250 coupon and then the code expired in a flash. It was like $250 on the button, but then they raised the...
