The Samsung GSIII is a world phone and it is unlocked. I am travelling to Asia this week and after speaking to a Verizon rep, I was told that all I had to do was to put a SIM card to make the phone work on the GSM networks in Asia.
Is there any reason why you are not using the default ports of 9080, 9081-9083. You don't necessarily have to use these specific ports, but it's highly recommended to forward xxxx digit port numbers for Remote Potato.
As said, the cpu should serve your needs perfectly. You do not need a powerful CPU for a htpc since most of the work will be done by your gpu. The 560 should be able to play all high bitrate 1080p movies without breaking a sweat.
