    Ashes of the Singularity benchmarks.

You post some strange comments , you could just admit your wrong and save some face, rather than continuing on.

    Ashes of the Singularity benchmarks.

ummm yea ok http://www.pcper.com/files/imagecache/article_max_width/review/2015-08-16/ashes-gtx980.png Once again this is a RTS game, make no difference if its running 71FPS or 76FPS, its really not much of a issue. I am looking at the AMD's and I3's running at 30 and 40 FPS...

    Ashes of the Singularity benchmarks.

ROLF you did just look at the CPU scaling link above right?, its about as relevant as ever, this is a RTS game not a FPS! I get the Nvidia vs AMD GPU DX12 API debate thing going on, but when it comes to this game its mostly CPU that matters.

    Ashes of the Singularity benchmarks.

The thing that makes me laugh about this benchmark is, due to the inclusion of the DX12 API the GPU performance is getting most of the attention over the vastly more relevant CPU scaling. Its going to be FAR better having a higher end processor and a mid range GPU regardless of DX 12 or...

Intel i7-920 x58 vs Haswell @1080p and above - Still no urgency to upgrade?

The games you play I would believe the answer is flat out no its not worth upgrading. Doing a quick Google at modest resolutions. If no ONE core is ever maxed you are unlikely to see a tangible benefit. http://www.techspot.com/review/733-batman-arkham-origins-benchmarks/page5.html...

Prime is melting my 4770k, oh the humanity. Other options?

yea thanks, looked like spin the first time, looks like spin now.

Prime is melting my 4770k, oh the humanity. Other options?

Its not safe for a 4770k on air you mean. I have a very modest Corsair H110 running a [email protected] and it can do it all day sitting a smig under 80C with around 25C room temp. I don't consider this cool, but it is very solid and worst case. Aida is rubbish, I have seen a unstable OC pass with...

Intel Haswell i7-4770K IPC and Overclocking Review @ [H]

You might see a tiny bump in a handful of games depending on your gaming resolution and quality settings. http://www.techspot.com/review/689-company-of-heroes-2-performance/page4.html http://www.techspot.com/review/642-crysis-3-performance/page6.html Note these tests are at medium quality...

    Q8400 @ 3.2Ghz bottlenecking?

Forgod sake Here's is a crazy idea!!!!!!!!!! Open up Task Manager, alt tab into Witcher and play for 10+ seconds, alt tab out. Are "any" of your cores maxed recently?, repeat process a few times. If not a processor upgrade is not likely to help, its not a 100% accurate methodology probably...

4670k & 4770k purchased anwhere operating performance thread

Yes Prime and Intel TAT are more intensive, and they produce slightly higher temps with decent cooling. Seems the oldies are still the best imo

    Haswell Delidded

Grats on the result, you seem to have a pretty good sample being able to run 4.4 at only around 1.2V Keep in mind you would have reseated your block which you technically never eliminated before the De-lid , or at least was my impression. Temps look about 3-4C lower than my undelided [email protected]...

4670k & 4770k purchased anwhere operating performance thread

At least you eliminated the ram overclock as the primary cause. Why are you hell bent on refusing to consider your cooling is the issue?, just reseat your block for a start.

4670k & 4770k purchased anwhere operating performance thread

You are over thinking it, your temps are NOT consistent with most other people on half decent liquid cooling for 4.4Ghz 1.2 volts, they are god awful. Your loop has issues or is not very good take your pick, it 95% likely one or the other, My temps are consistent with most others on mainstream...

Straight from Intel 11.0.5 Here's an idea, run Linpack, open Taskmanger up and confirm I am right
