I'm pretty sure it was mounted correctly... I held the block down firmly, then tightened the screws till it started to compress the springs, then tightened them all 6 times in a X pattern as instructed by the manufacturer.

I used a small sized ball and spread it out with my finger through a plastic bag like they say on arcticsilver.com... I think I might have even used too little the last time...

I decided to go with the cmstacker, as I was toying with my case and I noticed when I left the cover off, my temps dropped 10-15c... so I can tell I'm not getting any airflow with this sucker...
slk900 does look nice, about 20 bucks less and in stock some places... Hard to choose... I'd like a new case so I'd have room for other things (I want to add an 5.7" LCD some day)...

I've thought about water cooling, but it would be a big investment... I don't have room in my case for it, I would need a full tower for sure. That would put me over my budget, I'm guessing at least 100 bucks for a case, another 250 for water block, radiator, hoses, pump, power, reservoir etc...
