DP 1.2 cable technically are suppose to be 6 ft or less to be withen VESA standard. The longer the length you need lower AWG (more copper)... what is the AWG on the 35 foot DP cable? Maybe get one that is 2 or 4 numbers lower may help.
The cable you are using may be a thunderbolt cable - which is not compatible with a mini-DisplayPort output in your card.
You need to get a mini-DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort cable like this one...
Bezels are made to house the LG Panels... until LG, Samsung, or any other panel maker engineers a panel requiring less or no bezels - the monitor makers are at their mercy...
Thanks for the correction... I just read a review that confirmed your statement... has anyone tried daisy chaining them yet to see if they can get full 2560x1440 resolutions on the daisy chained monitors?
I've read a few blogs that they are good cables...
They have two DisplayPort (One input and One output)? I looked at the specs for the Dells and they all only have one DisplayPort 1.2... Last time I checked only the Thunderbolt Displays (Apple Cinemas) had two DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) connections. Correct me if I am wrong.
Cool you got it...
DisplayPort 1.2 inputs/outputs are backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.1... so you should be perfectly fine. If the DisplayPort 1.1 cable is shorter than 2 meters (6ft) it may be able to transmit the similar bandwidth as a DisplayPort 1.2 (depends on the copper gauge [AWG]). DisplayPort...
Is it the same as image persistant? or after image? or whatever they call it now-a-days I think it is a common issue with all IPS displays - normally you can fix it by displaying an all white background for the same amount of time you had the previous image that caused the issue.
But if it...
That test was using a new testing method that is causing it and other new large monitors to have low contrast ratios results... I got an e-mail form them informing me that they are using different variations of the LG IPS LM270WQ1 and that actual testing results may vary.
Other than the Macbook Pro 2012, are there any laptops coming out that have two DisplayPorts or two Mini-DisplayPort outputs?
Or my best bet would be a Laptop with 1 x DisplayPort and a docking station with 1 x DisplayPort?
I want to be able to out 2 x 2560x1440 monitors at full resolution...
Do you live in California? If you do I think you may be protected by the "lemon law." (correct me if I am wrong). If they try repairing but each time the issue is still there - after the third time you amay entitled for a refund.
When I saw that review I tried the same thing - I turned off DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio) and I notice the pictures/colors are different and I can see how he got 500:1 ... but when I turn DCR back on everything looks great.
Does anyone know if Dynamic Contrast Ratio would do anything for that...
