Gauging interest in build-your-own case kits

A few questions - apologies while being a n00b: 1. Are there options to include or incorporate filters for fans? 2. How heavy would a case (including MB plates and such) weigh like the ones shown in post #127/128? 3. This is coming from some anonymous stranger, but have you considered a dual...

    This is awesome stuff!

    Dual zone/chamber case & Noctua DH15?

I saw that, but it doesn't fit the DH15. If only they made it an inch wider, ugh. I suppose I could try and make a custom panel with a space/indentation to allow the height of the cooler.

    Dual zone/chamber case & Noctua DH15?

Currently using a Meshify C, and I like it. But want to get some more air on my GPU, and I'm not the biggest fan of a PSU shroud, I feel like it's wasted space. Having a second zone/chamber allows for better cable management IMO. I know the PC-011 XL can fit a DH15, but that's something a bit...

    PCIE 4.0 M.2 NVMe Gen 4 Question - heating/cooling?

So as I understand it, the newer Gen 4 NVMe run a bit hotter than previous generations. I've seen some on Amazon with an option to come with a heatsink, and my MSI Unify has 3 heatsink covers for the 3 M.2 slots. But it seems (from what I've read) that cooling down these drives, or certain...

CPU pins damaged, PCI-e slot not working

I'm still in 30 day period for returning my Asus X570 to Amazon - and will def be doing so. That's some shady stuff right there. Got my MSI Unify in.

3700X motherboard - stick with ASUS Tuf Gaming-Plus or go with MSI Unify?

Well it would only be a either a pull or a push - the case doesn't have room for a push/pull setup. Strange, I've wanted a Caselabs Bullet for a while now, and now that I have it, it's almost like it's not living up to expectations (which were set and held by me and only me). The case is quality...

CPU pins damaged, PCI-e slot not working

Have you heard of other mobo makers pulling this? Or is it just with Asus?

CPU pins damaged, PCI-e slot not working

Woah. Crazy. Glad I switched out my Asus X570 for a MSI X570 (Amazon return policy FTW). I'm sure no company is 100% innocent, but that... that raises my eyebrows.

CPU pins damaged, PCI-e slot not working

As in, they or someone underneath them, intentionally does that? Or some sort of unkosher things going on at Asus? Not picking a fight, genuinely curious.

3700X motherboard - stick with ASUS Tuf Gaming-Plus or go with MSI Unify?

You're right, d'oh! I guess that would provide better cooling for the 3700X and make it a bit quieter than the Noctua, wouldn't it?

3700X motherboard - stick with ASUS Tuf Gaming-Plus or go with MSI Unify?

Yeah, I've been jonesing for a Caselabs ever since they went out of business. I should've went with a BH8, but for some reason didn't pull the trigger. Quality materials, smart design... just not a lot of room for a larger cooler. Could sell the Caselabs (which I probably could for a decent...

3700X motherboard - stick with ASUS Tuf Gaming-Plus or go with MSI Unify?

I think my new build is quite decent - 3700x, 32gb cas 16 3200mhz ram, Caselabs BH7, 1 new NVME (1tb Inland), 2 SSD from previous build, Powercolor RX 5700XT, and a Noctua U9S (limited in what I can use due to case limitations). I already have the Asus Tuf, but I got it before they cut the price.

3700X motherboard - stick with ASUS Tuf Gaming-Plus or go with MSI Unify?

Unify gets in tomorrow. Even though I'm only using a 3700X, looking forward to getting it into the system.
