Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The strategic significance is bigger than the dollar amount. NVIDIA is trying to do to the RAN what it did to the data center: displace fixed-function, vendor-specific ASICs with a general-purpose, CUDA-programmable GPU platform, and capture the...
Because last fall a 28TB usb drive was $330 direct from Seagate. They have been out of stock ever since and eBay is $1,000. Ya, drives exist. But I’m not paying that kind of money.
I hope you enjoy the Z3! As far as the Z2 being a left hand mouse, its really not designed for that. I won't say its impossible and you can configure it to work left handed (I tried just for the heck of it and you can reassign all the buttons to...
Blaming it on "dumb people" is somewhat disingenuous. There was some big money behind the anti-nuclear movement and they bought a lot of politicians. The fossil fuel industry was not happy about nuclear power potentially stealing its lunch money...
Yep this is thing is going to end with us having controlled blackouts to run AI to track everything we do.
God the world would have been such a better place had we not had that wave of dumb people afraid of nuclear power plants back in the 80...

I can't tell from your post or not, but FP64 is kind of the opposite direction from AI. CFD, FEA, Physics simulations are what you need FP64 for in order to maintain stable matrices in solvers.
I don't know about you, but the a100 is nearing my price range and when the h200 drops to 4k-ish effing yes I will buy one!!! That is a LOT OF FP64 compute!!!!

I've not had problems with mine and NONE of the PCIe/m.2 slots share lanes and none of the m.2 slots share with SATA. The tradeoff for that is some slots run at lower PCIe gen speeds.
Layout includes:
1x 16-lane x16 PCIe...
Its common for fresh PTM to be a lot worse than average paste.
Use your GPU a little bit everyday. And tell us how the temps are, next week. Its important to completely shutdown your PC, when you aren't using it. The PTM has to thermal cycle...
This is the kind of shit I love seeing, I mean I would love additional memory channels, but let's face it, Windows (non-server editions) and DX12 aren't really optimized for more than 2, and I doubt Microsoft's ability to optimize the platforms...
Agree with you that there isn’t much savings if you pay a contractor. I did the math and passed multiple times. Finally did it myself and it’s well worth it. Already paid for itself with the tax credit (now gone).
Crazy how they bring in $20...
So in other words, upend your life because someone wanted to build a data centre next door? No thanks. They can't do that near me, but if I lived in a place that had that happen then I'd be furious. I wouldn't be trying to move further away from...
Yeah, owned asset value doesn't do anything to help me unless I'm borrowing against it or selling it. If I'm borrowing against my house I probably have more financial problems than the earned value on my home is going to help with.
That's the kicker. If they were willing to take on all the cost associated with these data centres it wouldn't be as big a problem. But, they want to build close to towns so they have easier access to power and water but then the noise pisses...
I'm still waiting for an explanation for why they are so great for the community. I haven't heard a convincing argument yet, only "the fears you have are unfounded." Okay, great, but what good does the datacenter provide me? It doesn't pay me...
So now I'm going to ask the same question of AMD that I'm asking of Nvidia. If they're launching new products based on old tech or just relaunching old products does that mean driver updates and support start over from here? 5, 6, 7 more years...
