    So anyways, as a follow-up, I realized/admitted that my registry was more than likely hosed, given the problems i was having. I reinstalled XP and have built the machine back to an aceptable level, loaded my games and have been playing for two days now. In 3dm2k1 it scored in the 16500 range...

    You guys may or may not be right about a hardware problem. Too soon to tell. What I do knw is that the problems began AFTER I installed the latest Omega drivers. Ever since i did that on Fiday night, I've had mob VPU errors\recoveries.

    Well, last night as a last resort, I did one last system restore from last sunday. Amazingly, this worked for whatever reason. I'm still curious as to why installing OMega drivers F'd up my system so badly. The short of it is I'll NEVER do THAT again!

    So last night, I installed the latest rev of the Omega drivers. I used teh ati util to completely remove all of the existing drivers, rebooted and installed the Omegas.
