Please bear with me on this one folks.
I simply am asking which sensor is accurate, nothing about whether or not it is an acceptable temp.
Here is the scenario:Using SPybot for about 8 minutes.
Each Sensor is labled in this image.

Their are three [3] choices to monitor my CPU temp. The three are
1. "AMD K8 Sensor"
2. "IT8712F-1"
OR
3. "LM99" ??
Which one is correct to measure my CPU TEMP?
It's a ASUS A8S-X Motherboard and AMD 64 3200+ Venice 2Ghz CPU
The 66C is for things as simple as SPYBOT and this CPU is NOT overclocked at all.
I have arctic silver on it but I suspect I either did it wrong or put too much on it. I more go with doing it wrong because I fought trying to get the HSF back on for 5 minutes, moving it around a lot.
I...
I get a reading of 53C on my AMD 64 3200+ Venice.
What does that 53C represent?
The reason I ask is because it is COMMON for me to reach 66C+ on the CPU.
Is something wrong or do I need to be educated? Please let me know, I am paranoid/worried about that 66C temp and TCaseMax 53C.
thanks
60C is when I am using NERO to convert an AVI file into DVD format and then burn the DVD. It reaches this temp in 3-5 minutes or the total 60 minutes the operation takes.
Cooling is stock amd fan with arctic silver applied.
thanks
