Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Those are the symptoms of bad capacitors, which are fairly easy for someone with reasonable soldering skills to replace. The hardest part is figuring out which ones are bad, although if it's making any kind of high pitch noises, you can probably track down the exact worn out part that way...
It looks like you've taken the time to do a good amount of research, but i would like to add something first: Stop using VGA. I am about 90 percent certain that going to DVI will be a significant relief.
IPS panels may be unneccesary, as you haven't complained of color accuracy or viewing...
Purely speculation:
TN panels only really do 6bits of color per subpixel.
The signal comes with 8bits of data per color channel.
Most panels deal with this through interpolation.
Adding a 4th 6bit subpixel would be an improvement?
Again, this is all probably wrong. Anyone willing to...
Yeah, you're pretty much screwed.
But, since the panel is probably pretty much worthless to you anyway, you might want to pop it open and have a look.
The best scenario i can see for you is to go on ebay and find a broken panel of the same model and try to swap the parts without breaking...
A few years ago, I went with the Razer Copperhead, their flagship at the time. In fact I got two of them. Razer makes, by far, the prettiest mice on the market. Not the best. Their software, (on the copperhead at least) is terrible. The firmware is buggy. The build quality is not good...
Honestly, judging from the amount of married people and couples in Azeroth, in all likelihood the majority of people raiding have had sex at least once. Raiding virgins are likely in the minority.
Many (I'd say 5-10%) of them have children.
Back to the OP though: Get out while you still...
If you have a volt meter, poke at the powersupply a bit and see what's going on when it fails to come on. Standard warning: be careful around the inverter section for the backlight. But you probably know that already.
Look for capacitors that bulge out more than others at the top. I've seen...
I played around with this system in BestBuy, they had it marked as $425
The look and feel of the system is great, the little baby satellites are incredibly tiny. The sub seems to be the right size. The speakers themselves just have little holes that the wires go into, but the other end of...
From my understanding, it's best to NOT hook up LEDs in series. The reason is that each bulb has slightly different performance characteristics. Also if one bulb goes out, the remaining bulbs will have too much power and the failure will cascade.
The best thing to do would be to assume the...
This one beats the pants off of those in that it's actually available for buying:
http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-PK20-PocketProjector/dp/B000I28EGC
It's 800x600, but scales 1280x1024 pretty well. Makes a 5ft screen on my wall. Granted, only in a dark room. Producing a 32" screen, it can...
Another possible bottleneck to look into with WoW is harddisk performance. Sometimes, a good defrag can do wonders, especially after they release one of those big patches. People around might tell you that defragmenting once in a while does nothing, I say they're full of crap.
If you follow...
