Exactly... that's the problem. The widescreen "fix" added to the command line does not work properly, as the FoV doesn't scale correctly to the res, so while the picture fills more of your screen it's cropped a bit and stretched.
Supposedly, the "hack" prog I mentioned is the one thing that's...
Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately, unless you've actually really gotten it to work with what they call a "hack" (the downloadable file) some people are not actually running in true widescreen, it's just filling your screen a little more.
As the poster above asked about the FoV, people...
Have been considering getting back into BF2 while waiting for other things, but wanted to check on a couple of things first.
1) The widescreen fix, downloadable/discussed at Widescreen Gaming claims that widescreen is now "unofficially" supported by both EB (PunkBuster) and EA.
Has anyone...
Doom in the right games...? Definitely!
I would agree about removing the vox, however, and just keeping the music.
It's been said about some of what I've released would make excellent soundtracks to horror films, so why not horror-themed games? Makes sense, though don't know if "stoner"...
Agreed.
Would love to see a "remake" (just a good sequel) of BF2, which though I loved and played to death, I simply couldn't tolerate anymore after a while with all the patches, PIA nonsensical "server rules" and tweaks that screwed things up sometimes, and a few other issues.
Almost...
Feel like I'm missing something here, but it seems like the list of FPS and action titles I originally had, shortened by the time we actually hit '09 and I lost track of something.
F.E.A.R. 2 (which I'm now a bit "meh" about), Aliens: Colonial Marines, Prototype, Mafia 2, HL2: EP3, DOOM 4 (no...
Well, I can try it, and had actually though of cutting it just about right where you placed the red line.
Question, though... are the VRM sinks on the stock portion tall enough, unlike the HR-03's, to reach the VRMs without pads? They're actually not much taller.
I'd also have to saw off...
Oh, so mosfests are the vrm's? I thought they were two different things.
I've thought of it, though if Thermalright had done a better job, I wouldn't even have to consider it. Either way...
It's not just I'm "paranoid" about it, as it's a problem that is so far being backed-up as being a...
P.S.
If you've seen the set-up of the GTX 280 and the way they did the sink with the HR-03 GTX
(see step 12 on this page), the only thing that's covered is the VRM chips. There is nothing on the MOSFESTs, for which there are holes cut out in the plate for them to stick out of/above the...
Exactly, I am indeed referring to the VRM's and not the core (which is nice and cool with the HR-03, btw, just not the VRM's).
As for your mention about the pads, that's exactly my point, and I'm glad you understand what I mean, as that's my concern.
I don't have any extra pads around...
Been seeing this around a lot recently, seeming to come up due to the bad aftermarket cooling for the GTX 280, specifically, to which I just switched.
What is the highest safe temp range for the VRMs?
I'm having the same problem as I'm seeing others around having... my VRM temps are...
Hmmm... actually, I just found something yesterday that *looks* as if it has a similar concept: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835192007 though I'm not sure if this is supposed to be mounted above or below the GPU.
I've actually seem someone mod something a while back...
Anyone?
I'm not sure as to whether or not two 120mm fans blowing directly down onto the 280 will penetrate enough to make a difference, and I cant test it until I get this little "contraption" built, which is taking some work.
Don't want to move to watercooling, and have been waiting for...
Is there still a solid BF2 community going?
I've played the BF series since it's inception, until early this year, when it was becoming increasingly difficult to even find a server in the U.S., or find one what wasn't a pain in some way. It seemed like U.S. servers were dwindling, and those I...
Given that the aftermarket cooler for the GTX 280 has still not yet been released, and I always here about airflow going over the GPU is important, I had a question:
If I had two 120mm fans blowing down onto the GPU directly, would it help it's temps?
If so, do you think it would be a...
