Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm trying to put together a new PC, and trying to save as much of my old equipment as possible. How much power would you say is necessary for this build?:
CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K...
Thanks. A $480 receiver (the Yamaha) is "low" end? I'd hate to see what mid or high end look like! Should I hold out for a Denon bundle? I was originally looking for the HD1000 set, but they suddenly became very difficult to find from any of the authorized dealers except Klipsch itself.
1) Amazon is currently selling a bundle--Klipsch HD 500's along with an included Yamaha RX-V567BL.
According to the stats, the Yamaha drives its satellites at 90W x 7 channels, but the Klipsch specs state: "Recommended amplifier power: up to 100 watts/ch."
2) NewEgg has a bundle--the same...
I have an Abit IP35 Pro--from what I've seen searching, I don't think it supports PCI Express 2.0, but don't know for sure. If that was the case, does that mean that a new video card meant for 2.0 would be handicapped on my system, or not work at all?
Thanks. =\
I ordered an X-25M 160GB based on Anandtech's article recently, and was reading through some of the threads here. I hadn't benchmarked my drives before, but was curious because of some results people posted.

I have a question--most games seem to be designed for fullscreen, but my computer is more than capable of running them in windowed. In this case, I'm running Warhammer Online in a window..
My question is--why does it lag in Windowed Mode when it's NOT the active window? Let's say I put...
I'm looking for a replacement to my 23" HP L2335. I have loved this thing--it's huge, bright and has nearly flawless viewing angles--never seen any other LCD match up, even other HP models (lower-end, though). But it's getting old--3 years or more, and I've used the hell out of it.
Can anyone...
Sad to hear. Okay.. I want a system that is at least 5 channel, with similar or better audio quality to the Ultra 5.1s, and that takes digital or analog input. It will be hooked up to my PC and a 65" LCD for Xbox 360 gaming and DVD/HD movie playback. Let's say.. my budget is $1,200. Any...
I bought my 5.1 Ultras from Klipsch a few years ago, and love them to death. However, they lack digital input, so I've had to use a digital decoder to hook up my Xbox 360/etc, which was a huge pain in the ass. I was looking around for an alternative to the 5.1 Ultras for whenever they finally go...
I suppose you're right. But my chip needs a lot of voltage (I believe) to make it stable. Right now I've settled on 3.2GHz @ 1.460V. (400x8)

My last computer, 3 years ago, was from Alienware. Didn't have the time or space--gave in and ordered one. You're right, wasn't worth the money.
Anyway, I broke down and bought a 550W source from Corsair. So that's taken care of.
I've read through the FAQs and general information (as well as tried to use some of the less-than-stellar calculators), and it all seems fairly complicated--but I'm wondering:
What kind of PSU would be required for the following setup?:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - 2.4GHz

No 32-bit OS will recognize all 4GB of your RAM--you need to get a 64bit OS.
Your copy of Vista gives you the rights to both 32 bit and 64 bit--Microsoft will mail you a copy of 64bit if you look on your vista box, but they charge $10 for shipping.
