Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

If that doesn't work, you may want to find a way to purposefully kill 6 or 7 more pixels so that you fall into Dell's warranty policy. Of course that isn't the...
Okay, here are the results for the "Input Lag Test" at http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/response_time.php with the HG-281DPB and a CRT.
HG 1.759 [47]
CRT 1.826 [49]
HG 24.222 [13]
CRT 24.238 [14]
HG 90.162 [09]
CRT 90.193 [11]
Hope that helps.
I actually don't own a CRT anymore. I just have LCDs. I'll see if I can scrounge one up though as well as a DVI to VGA adapter. I'll post the results if I can dig those up.
I purchased the Hanns.G HG-281DPB and Asus VK266H today with the expectation that I would keep the best of the two.
The Asus is definitely nice, but in my opinion the Hanns.G is just as good, just bigger!
I paid $329 for the Asus and $359 for the Hanns.G at local shops. No dead pixels on...
The 18x.xx drivers are known to have a few issues (BF2, BF2142, L4D, and a few others). If you don't play any of those games then the 18x.xx should be fine for you.
Right-click on the Start Menu and choose "Properties".
Select the radio button to the left of "Start Menu" and choose "Customize".
Scroll down to "Documents" and select the radio button that says "Don't display this item".
That should do it.
Vista SP1 doesn't show for some of these reasons.

The nice thing about Acronis True Image, it only takes 2-5 mins to restore it fresh, so 5 minutes every two weeks to keep things tip-top is not an problem at all.
On the negative side, that's quite a bit of wear and tear on the hard drive, I wouldn't bother. I have Acronis myself and I do a...
I actually plug my headphones to the port on the front of my speakers, so if I want to hear movies from the speakers, I just disconnect there and not in the back of my sound card.
Depending on your setup, you may want to invest in a mini-jack splitter, such as this...
The jump to Vista would not decrease your framerates like that. I did not experience any fps decrease in CS:S when I moved from XP to Vista.
My buddy has a similar setup to yours, same motherboard, better CPU, same amount of memory, except his video card is the Ati X1950XT 512 MB card. He did...
Try each of the slots, as you may find the RAM gives error in one slot, but not another, or it will give errors in all slots, and then you know for certain the RAM is definitely to blame.
Check out Corsair's forums for the exact specs for your RAM at this link: http://www.houseofhelp.com/v3/showthread.php?t=52351
If you still have trouble, research the houseofhelp.com forums and hopefully you'll be able to get this worked out, or at least get warranty replacements on your RAM.
Don't disable it. Keep at least the minimum.

If you want to try it, go ahead, perform your benchmarks and post back your results. More than likely you'll find no benefit, and possibly some problems as some programs write directly to the paging...
I went from 4 to 8 GB, and my system performs much better overall. I can run a dedicated CS:S and WiC server, play any game I want and host a Ventrilo server all at the same time.
Given, if you're a unitasker, 4 GB is probably the most you would want, 2 GB would be fine, but, if you start...
