Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Stores in Denmark are also claiming availability in November (the 3rd). But it will only be ~90 USD less than the LG, though I wonder if the price will go down a bit when they are actually available.
Of course, thanks where due. :D
Unfortunately, factoring in shipping and tax and what not, the UPA-2 and XDA-1 combo would end up at a cool $1100, which is about three times my original budget.
Just the UPA-2 would end up at about $650 which isn't too bad, but then I'll need something else...
Ok. So that. Is sexy. Can I combine that with their XDA-1? I might actually splurge and buy them both if it's possible.
I've requested a quote for shipping, so we'll see.
As for that whole ohm/w discussion, yeah, I'm way too stupid to follow that. :p
I'm currently looking at:
Onkyo A-9377 w/ USB DAC
Yamaha RX V467
Thoughts? I'm leaning towards the A-9377 - something inside me just thinks it's wrong to buy a big surround receiver with 3D and everything and then only use it for stereo.
Still taking recommendations for a stereo amp...
Heh, that last one does more stuff than the TX-SR507 under my TV. ;) Also a bit large for my tastes. The A-9555 looks nice, but having trouble finding a place to buy it - will keep looking. Been thinking about getting a USB DAC myself, so that won't be a problem.
So my dad gave me his old speakers, and I want to hook them up to my pc. Here's the speakers:
Dantax MC 302 is the model in case it's hard to make out on the photo. They're about 20 years old, but still sound good imo. They're in pretty good nick too.
I'm guessing that since they...
Those are EISA slots. Other servers in the PC Server series had MCA slots. But, the 300 series was entry level and only the 500 and 700 series received models with MCA.
They are nice cases, and hopefully some day I'll put a modern system in one of them. They are actually fairly wide, unlike a...
Maybe not very ghetto, certainly not food stamp worthy, but thought I'd throw it up here anyway.
Doing some testing with an old Google Mini server. First problem: NOISY.
Fix: Mount Intel 775 HSF:
You can see the old copper profile and radial fan in the rear.
Second problem...
Got some old hardware hidden around the place.
Olivetti PCS 11:
Should be a 16MHz 80386 with 4MB RAM and a 40MB drive. Can't be bothered checking. :p It doesn't work, never has. Fished it out of a dumpster like 10 years ago, because I liked the case. Always imagined I'd put a...
Can any Define R3 owners confirm/deny that internal watercooling with a 240/360 rad is not possible, even with some modding? Have been unable to find sufficient info, just a few random forum posts saying that there is not enough space between the top of the case and top of the mobo.
Theres american systems and then theres european systems.
American systems use huge hoses that can fit a truck. Huge flow. And american systems can move more heat than a european system, its just not necessary since todays computer dont give off that much heat. :P
European systems use...
