Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The biggest problems I'm having are that I don't know what's good and what's not. Price is not a good indicator of that. I don't want to have to modify my case and I want the whole system to be contained within the case. I've seen a few kits that use 5.25 drive bays, that would be ok, I have...
Thanks for all the input. Admittedly, 300 was just a tad more than I'm willing to spend. I was hoping to stay under 200, though I'm not sure if I can get a good setup for that much. If not, I'll just have to settle for some better fans.
Yeah, I actually did know that one. I've taken that into account too. However, my idle temps right now (i've unclocked my cpu back to stock) are around 40. Ambient isn't that high.
Huh, always thought it was some kind of coolant other than just water. Well, that just helps prove how little I know :).
About how much is quite a bit? I find it hard to believe that it could cost more than installing a new air conditioning unit in my apartment.
Thanks for the advice so...
So lately my computer's been getting a little warmer than I would like. It doesn't help that the AC in my apartment is so bad I'm pretty sure it actually makes it warmer. Lately, my temps have been about 10 degrees higher.
I was wondering if water cooling would really make that much of a...
Well, I never knew those would work for networks. So i would send the Array contents with writeObject()?
i.e.
for(String s : strArray)
ObjectOutputStream.writeObject(s);
I have a server program and a client program. Both work fine on their own. However, there are a couple of lists on the server that I'd like to send to the client. Is there any way to send a String array or an int array to the client?
Ok then, new question. The XClio one is more efficient (1%) and cheaper. It also has more output, not that it really matters for me. Why is the corsair so much better? Also, the Corsair has three +12V rails, what's the third one for?
I'm looking for a new PSU, but I don't really know anything about them. My video card claims to require a 350W power supply with 20A on +12V. From what I can tell, a lot of PSUs out there only have about 18A on the +12V thing. I've been looking PSUs that are at least 500W. I'd also like...
