    XFX R7850 Black Edition

I got this card about a week ago. I upgraded from a XFX 6870 to their 7850. NON/OC Dual fan version. I don't really notice a difference between it and my 6870 when playing a few games. It is a longer card however. It's a very nice card.

    2 video cards on motherboard

Nvidia=SLI ATI=Corssfire I don't think they are "interchangeable" You are better off just using your Nvidia for two monitors.

    ACPI Bios errors

Well, I have asked this over at the MSI Forums, the place where my motherboard is supported and no one seems to know the answer. Here's my dilemma. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330054 There's the problem I am having. I have tried all BIOS version for my MOBO and I still get these...

    Theoretical new form factor "CTX"

The simple fact is...How much can you improve on the invention of the wheel? You are not creating any NEW technology nor suggesting it. Simply put, your ideas are nothing more than opinionated improvements to that which we already have. Use your mind and obvious creativity to invent...

    Theoretical new form factor "CTX"

So just who decided on your "form factor" of 7inches? Is it you? And if so, are you simply wanting the smallest factor possible, hence your form factor suggested requirements? Some of your ideas are fine, but your are simple trying to improve on something we already have. How about coming...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

I think I have one bad stick of memory. OCZ support forums have me doing all sorts of tests/try this try that, but I don't have time for that crap. To be honest, I just want it to run without errors, and it SHOULD, etc. I do not overclock or do any "crazy stuff", so I'll just call Monday...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

OCZ recommends this MS fix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777/en-us I applied this fix and if I try both RAM modules I get a BSOD 0x000000AF which is NOT the same as 0x000000A as far as I can tell. Unless maybe they are. It is still funny that one stick failed memtest and the other...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

FSB - 200 There is no DRAM Ratio setting CPU Ratio - Auto Adjust CPU Voltage - Default DDR Memory Frequency - 800mhz Memory Voltage - 2.00 Basically, I am not overclocking anything. Also, I read, it shows single because I only have one module in. If I put both in, it will be dual channel. But...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

One more thing. CPU-Z shows DRAM Frequency : 359mhz <-- tells me the BIOS mhz/voltage settings I changed are not changing the Memory settings? Timings 5-6-6-15 TRC : 21 clocks CR: 2T Channels# Single <--shouldn't that be Dual? It is dual Channel RAM...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

I thought the same exact thing. And yes it should be 333. The factory default speed for this memory according to OCZ is 667, which is 333... I just rebooted and changed timings. 800mhz@2.00v 5-6-6-15 Seems to be running OK at those settings on one "good" 2gb module. I'll retest the "good" stick...

Motherboard or Memory or settings, oh my?

Okay, that took a while. Second Stick. Pass complete, No Errors. However, I then rebooted and after reboot, started Windows Mail and a Memory Error occurred and Windows Mail shutdown. Started Windows Mail backup and it appears to be fine. I had this Windows Mail memory reference error before...

Looking for Video Card ( Need Help )

According to what I am reading, yo do not need one of those adapters. At least that is what my new Mobo manual says and a tech at the local computer shop concurred. The 20 pin will plug right into the 24 pin on the mobo and it should work fine. It is also fool proof so you can't plug it in wrong.
